The sun came out for session 2, hurray! We listened to a story about how Wolf got
fire for the animals in the woodland, and then in small groups children got to
build and light fires with fire strikers, all the children got sparks to fly
and several of them managed to set fire to their kindling. It was wonderful to see the determined looks
on their faces and the sense of achievement they gained from this
activity. And of course the smiles when
the marshmallows appeared!
The children then spent some time exploring and choosing
what they wanted to do in the woods…
The mud was very popular!
Some went a little deeper in the mud than others! Elle needed rescuing….thanks Gabriel and
Honey!

And Chanya took it easy in the hammock with a bit of help
from Isla
